Water

Groundwater is invisible, but its impact is visible everywhere. Out of sight, under our feet, groundwater is a hidden treasure that enriches our lives.  Almost all the liquid freshwater in the world is groundwater.  As climate change gets worse, groundwater will become increasingly critical.  We need to work together to sustainably manage this precious resource.

Environmental Justice and Ecology

“We pledge to respond to the signs of the times and continue to seek out the needs of people, by dividing the city and serving the dear neighbor without distinction by expanding our understanding and efforts to address issues of ecological justice and care for our common home.”

Anti-Racism

“We cannot be indifferent to suffering; we cannot allow anyone to go through life as an outcast. Instead, we should feel indignant, challenged to emerge from our comfortable isolation and be changed by our contact with human suffering. That is the meaning of dignity.”

-Fratelli Tutti #68

Anti-Human Trafficking

Our congregation has been actively working with others to eradicate the root causes of human trafficking/modern day slavery for over 15 years.  We collaborate with local, national and international organizations on many fronts to promote awareness, fund shelters for survivors and advocate for laws that assists survivors and protect possible victims.

-Congregational Immigration Stance - 2017

Housing Justice

Each day, thousands of our dear neighbors in Orange County experience hunger and homelessness. These injustices are largely faced by people who have called Orange County their home for many years, as they previously resided, worked, or had familial ties to the area. In working for the dignity of our neighbors, we must always remember the dignity of those who face food and housing insecurity.
